PEH stands for “Pagoh Education Hub” a.k.a “Bandar Universiti Pagoh”. , a 4141 acres site in Pagoh, Johor. Encompassing a new residential and commercial area, the first phase of 501 acres of development known as the Pagoh Education Hub, is expected to be completed by 2015. By then, four institutions of higher learning – the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Politeknik Pagoh – are targeted to open their campus doors to accommodate an estimated student population of 20,000. This first phase is projected to be the catalyst for a progressive development and university town. Bandar Universiti Pagoh will be completed within a timeframe of between 15 to 20 years.
PEH as Community Hubs (Hubs) connect residents, students, and their families to resources and supports within their neighbourhood. Campuses the place that already acts as a natural anchor for student and academic personnel, Shared Facilities – the centre of an entire neighbourhood by bringing together multiple services and programs and making them accessible to everyone not just PEH community but Local Public Community as well. Hubs strive to collaborate with area partners to offer an integrated and impactful array of services, supports, and opportunities that lead to a better neighbourhood.
Each Hub develops a team of the Hub Director, Principal, administrators, teachers, support services staff, partners, parents, neighbourhood residents, and other community members/businesses who determine the services provided at that location.
